COVID Vaccine - Before You Attend & On The Day

There are three vaccines available in this area:

Pfizer/BioNtech

Any person with a history of anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction) to this vaccine or an ingredient of the vaccine should not be vaccinated with this vaccine.

Pain at the injection site

Tiredness

Headache

Oxford/AstraZeneca

Any person with a history of anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction) to this vaccine or an ingredient of the vaccine should not be vaccinated with this vaccine.

Tenderness, pain, warmth, redness, itching, swelling or bruising where the injection is given

Generally feeling unwell

Feeling tired (fatigue)

Chills or feeling feverish

Headache

Feeling sick (nausea)

Joint pain or Muscle ache

A lump at the injection site

Fever

Being sick (vomiting)

Flu-like symptoms, such as high temperature, sore throat, runny nose, cough and chills

Feeling dizzy

Decreased appetite

Abdominal pain

Enlarged lymph nodes

Excessive sweating, itchy skin or rash

Moderna/Spikevax

Any person with a history of anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction) to this vaccine or an ingredient of the vaccine should not be vaccinated with this vaccine.

Swelling/tenderness of the underarm glands on the same side as the injection site

Headache

Feeling sick (Nausea)

Muscle ache, joint aches, and stiffness

Pain or swelling at the injection site

Feeling very tired

Chills

Fever

Diarrhoea

Rash

Rash, redness, or hives at the injection site (some of which may occur some time after the injection)

Itchiness at the injection site
